There are two ways of working during a reading - psychically where information is collated from the person being read for by their energy and mediumistically where the message is given via the reader from a person in spirit. It is important to know where the information is coming from so we will always make this clear. Sometimes we will ask for a piece of jewellery to help with a link, sometimes we will ask you to shuffle the cards and sometimes none of this is needed. Every reader works slightly differently but the message you get should be very similar.

Tarot and Angel cards are a great tool for giving direction to a reading and can provide great insight into a situation, difficulty or opportunity. It isn't always important for the reader to know what the specific situation is, often they will know how something is making you feel or have other details that are relevant. The important thing is that you know what we are talking about! We do like you to talk to us, give us a yes or no so we know you understand what we are saying, but please don't give more details as these will come as the energy flows.

The tarot have been made a little theatrical and mysterious over the years but can really give a positive edge to a reading. The death card for example can mean the end of something and the beginning of something new.

Sometimes there may be something that you don't understand and information we get can be a picture, a feeling or a phrase - and we can be uncertain of how to interpret things sometimes! As readers though we do our best and aim to be as clear as we can.

There has been a lot of recent press regarding prediction due to the repeal of the Fraudulent Mediums Act. This action has been a great opportunity for those of us that work with good intent to make our position clear and we welcome the opportunity to further explain what we do. A reading cannot predict your future - every one has free will and the choice to do as they wish, so whilst a reading can be valuable in highlighting things to look at, any decision has to be your own. The cards provide Spiritual Guidance, not Life Guidance and work with the feelings and energy that a person already has. If Life Guidance is needed this is the time when a Counsellor or Life Coach should be consulted.

If a message is received from someone in spirit we will do everything we can to give you pieces of evidence that you can relate to this person. This could be a memory of an occasion, the condition that they passed with or even something like the favourite family pet. The Medium will be looking for a piece of information that they could not have known that you can directly link to the person talking. Please don't be afraid to say no you don't understand, but sometimes information may have to be confirmed with other family members.
